We are working together to translate the Listen Include Respect Guidelines into Arabic.

What are the Listen Include Respect guidelines?

The Listen Include Respect guidelines explain how organisations should include people with intellectual disabilities in different parts of their work.

The Listen Include Respect guidelines are important because right now, people with intellectual disabilities are not included in the work of organisations.

These guidelines can help organisations at different stages in their inclusion journey to take steps towards making their work more inclusive so that everyone can take part and share their valuable ideas.

Having an Arabic version of the guidelines will mean millions more people can access them.

Who is involved?

We will recruit five people with Intellectual Disabilities to join a reference group.

We are looking for people with

• Intellectual Disabilities
• An interest in making positive change
• Able to commit to one meeting a month

The group will meet online over Zoom.

There will be one meeting monthly in September, October and November 2023.

This is a paid opportunity; we will also pay for a support person's time if they are needed.
