Organised by the Iberoamerican Federation of Down Syndrome - Fiadown and coordinated locally by Fundown Caribe and Asdown Colombia, the 5th Iberoamerican Congress on Down Syndrome will be an extraordinary opportunity for people with Down Syndrome, families and professionals, to share knowledge and effective practices that help make inclusion a reality in the Iberoamerican communities.

Due to its strategic location and touristic attractions, the city of Cartagena, in Colombia, has been selected as the host city of the congress, which will be held on April 29 and 30, 2019 at the Intercontinental Hotel and will have the participation of more than 15 experts from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Spain, Peru and Colombia.

During the two days of the event, participants will be able to attend 4 plenary lectures and 15 panels that will focus on 6 thematic axes:

  • Education
  • Health
  • Autonomy and independent life
  • Work
  • Legal capacity
  • Aging

Additionally, there will be 6 workshops and 1 plenary session for  adults with Down Syndrome.
