New strategy in progress DSi is working on a new strategy for our organisation. This is essential to make sure we have a clear vision and plan for the next few years. The strategy will include: Our values and vision for how we want the world to be; A Theory of Change, which describes all the changes that contribute to our vision for the world; A plan for what we will do in the next few years to contribute to this change. Our first step was to get feedback and ideas from stakeholders in our network. We have spoken to: Staff and board members; Our Ambassadors Committee; Many of our member organisations around the world. The stakeholders had lots of suggestions for new or improved ways we can work. Some of these include: Finding ways for member organisations to support each other; More joint global advocacy work with the whole network; Linking up self-advocacy groups around the world; More sharing of good practices from around the world. We created a draft Theory of Change which we reviewed with our Board and Ambassadors. This includes 'Foundations' which are all of the things that need to be in place for us to work effectively. It also includes 'Strategies' which are the ways we will work to achieve our goal. We went on to develop '10-year goals' for each of the Foundations and Strategies in the Theory of Change. This shows what we hope to achieve over the next 10 years and how we are going to do it. Finally, we are creating a framework to help us monitor and evaluate our progress and understand how we can learn and improve. We will be launching the new strategy in October 2023 as part of our celebration of 30 years of the DSi Network. We would like to get feedback from you then.
