This funding opportunity is only available to organisations in the following countries: Albania, Armenia, Belize, Benin, Bhutan, Bolivia, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Colombia, Cook Islands, Costa Rica, Côte D’Ivoire, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Fiji, Georgia, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Indonesia, Jamaica, Kazakhstan, Kiribati, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Libya, Malaysia, Marshall Islands, Mexico, Micronesia, Moldova, Mongolia, Mozambique, Nauru, Niger, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Philippines, Romania, Samoa, Senegal, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Suriname, Thailand, Tonga, Tunisia, Tuvalu.

The grants are for disabled persons organisations (DPOs) in your country.

The funding is being arranged by the National Democratic Institute (NDI) Equal Rights in Action Fund.

The ERA Fund provides funding to local organisations around the world, who work to promote and defend the human rights of marginalised groups.

The awards range in size from $20,000 to $50,000.

You need to be nominated by the US embassy in your country. You cannot apply for the funding yourself.

To be nominated for the funding you will need to contact the Human Rights Officer in your local US embassy and discuss the opportunity. They will need to decide whether they can nominate you for a grant. To find this person we suggest you google search 'US Embassy in [insert your country]" and find the contact details.
