Donations Overview
Funding for DSI is through memberships, donations and grants.
Administrative costs are kept at a minmum as a result of careful organization and through the generous contributions of some key member organizations.
DSI seeks funds to provide assistance and resources to countries with less well developed services for people with Down syndrome.
DSI provides a small reduction in membership to organizations prepared to sponsor an organization in a country that lacks sufficient infrastructure / support.
DSI applies for grants to fund proposals to improve services in key countries and to further research to benefit the lives of people with Down syndrome.
Currently there are three proposals in development:
- Outreach support to Libya,
- Developing an infrastrucutre of support for organizations in Africa,
- Developing an accessible information source on the website to allow countries to obtain support and resources.

Recognition will be in the DSQ and on the website unless otherwise requested.
The subscriptions paid by DSI members cover the administrative costs of running the organization. However, DSI is always seeking funds to enable it to provide assistance to countries with less well developed services for individuals with Down syndrome.
