Down Syndrome International is delighted to announce that a resolution to designate 21 March as “World Down Syndrome Day” was adopted by the United Nations on Thursday 10 November 2011.

Inspirational Advocates for Down Syndrome to become DSi Ambassadors

The Board of Down Syndrome International (DSi) is delighted to announce that Karen Gaffney and Sujeet Desai from USA and Simon Beresford from the UK, have all kindly agreed to become our first DSi Ambassadors.

Karen, Sujeet and Simon are all well known advocates for people with Down syndrome in their own countries and internationally, and their achievements and tireless efforts to raise awareness are an inspiration to us all. We are honoured that they have agreed to join us to help to achieve our long term mission of improving quality of life for people with Down syndrome worldwide and we very much look forward to working with them.
