Down Syndrome Association Mongolia started

We dreamt about this since our beloved son Dulguun was born in 1994!

Four Mongolian families became the initiators for the very first Down Syndrome Association in Mongolia.
The first workshop was held on 22 March,2008 in Ulaanbaatar - a capital city of Mongolia. There was a big temptation to organize the event on the 21st but majority or parents finish work after 6 p.m. So the workshop took place on the following day. Kids from nine families hugged each other and really enjoyed their new community. Two local specialists (Ph.D in Genetics and Psychology) and two VSO volunteers (specialists in Special Education and Occupational Therapy) did presentations.

A representative of the Rainbow Foundation made a congratulatory speech offering a support.
Now the families are keeping busy creating a website of newborn Association and its further plans.
