Down Syndrome International is delighted to announce that a resolution to designate 21 March as “World Down Syndrome Day” was adopted by the United Nations on Thursday 10 November 2011.

11th World Down Syndrome Congress (2012)

As Chairperson of the organising committee for the 11th World Down Syndrome Congress, I wish to personally welcome you to attend the conference to be held in Cape Town, South Africa from 15th-17th August 2012.

We are delighted that the conference will be held in Cape Town and that we have been given the honour of hosting the event on behalf of Down Syndrome International (DSi).

We are focusing on the "Big Five" which is the theme for the Congress. They are Rights, Health, Education, Employment and Social.
