Every three years, ASNIMO (Asociación Síndrome de Down de Baleares, Spain), in collaboration with EDSA (European Down Syndrome Association) and DSI (Down Syndrome International), organises an INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON DOWN SYNDROME in Majorca, bringing together top specialists and researchers who are internationally renowned in the different fields covered. On 21, 22 and 23 November 2008 the VII INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON EARLY INTERVENTION IN DOWN SYNDROME AND OTHER DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES will be held at the Convention Centre of the Gran Hotel Meliá Victoria in Palma de Mallorca.

The aim of the Symposium is to review current knowledge on Early Intervention and present results from new research carried out by leading international specialists.

IN THE MORNING it is anticipated that there will be fifteen 30-minute papers on the topics that appear in the programme that has now been confirmed by all the invited scientists.

THE AFTERNOONS will be devoted to practical sessions that will be held simultaneously in five different rooms, in which qualified professionals will present experiences, work methods, testimonies, complementary activities, etc. relating to Early Intervention at over 20 round tables with two speakers per table.
