Brian Chicoine M.D. is the Medical Director of the Adult Down Syndrome Center of Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois, USA. He is the co-founder of the Center where over 5,000 adolescents and adults with Down syndrome have been served since it opened in 1992. He is also a faculty member of the Family Medicine Residency Program at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.
He graduated from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine and completed his Family Medicine residency at Lutheran General Hospital. He has provided medical care for adolescents and adults with developmental disabilities for over 25 years.
He has made many local, national and international presentations and has written extensively on caring for adults with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities including articles, book chapters, and books.
